Tour Santa Fé de Antioquia

This beautiful colonial town, just an hour from the city of Medellín, has a history dating back more than 400 years. Its cobble stone streets, houses with giant doors and important historical sites remain well preserved. Visit the charming downtown area, the Museum of Juan de Corral and the West Bridge, the largest wooden bridge in South America, which was constructed in 1886.

Take amazing pictures of the Cauca Valley landscape and beautiful colonial houses. Taste a variety of tropical fruits at the town’s main square.

Understand why Santa Fé de Antioquia, was once capital of “La Gran Colombia”.

In the afternoon

Take a ride to  “Cauca Viejo”, this village was built in this century as a replica of a town from Antioquia’s republican period. This private town alongside the Cauca River includes a plaza, shops, hotels and private houses.

Morning activities

Enjoy breath-taking landscapes as you travel through the town of Jericó, a town that quintessentially represents Colombia coffee culture. Tour artisan workshops, taste local sweets and enjoy the view and the architecture. You will also tour a coffee plantation to see how a family grows and processes coffee in the traditional way. In addition, you will discover how to make the best cup of coffee and taste different regional varieties of coffee at the finest coffee house in town.

In the afternoon

Spend your free time in hotel pool and walking around Cauca Viejo. The architecture is charming and there’s nothing better than watching a beautiful sunset from the main square.

Optional activities

You can choose between hiking to a waterfall or  visiting “Las nubes” natural reserve.

If you are feelling more adventurous a paragliding tamdem flight over the Cauca river will be delightfull.

Cartama Culture and Petroglyphs Tour

The town of Támesis, located near Jerico, has comfortable weather and was an early settlement for the indigenous Cartama people.  Their history and cosmology is recorded on petroglyph carvings, spread over an 80 kilometer square area. Hike paths from the Cartama that date back to the Pre-Hispanic period, while admiring archeological features and enjoying the scenery.

Choose between 5 different activities: white water rafting, rappelling, tubing, hiking, and spelunking. These activities vary, based on group interests and daily availability.

At night

Enjoy nightlife in Támesis village, where you can try aguardiente, a traditional alcoholic drink in a local “heladeria” bar.
